Epson Ultrachrome PRO Ink: The Latest Pigment Technology

A normal printer can only boast of three colors plus black, Epson Ultrachrome PRO Ink has a nine pigment ink set. In addition to the standard CMY+K (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) the Epson Ultrachrome PRO Ink lends a wider color gamut to produce the perfect color balance in fine art printing. With the extra addition of light cyan, light magenta, gray, light gray, dark gray and matte black, every nuance in the tonality of a print is on brilliant display. Because the Epson Ultrachrome PRO ink dries instantly, and is water, scratch and scrape resistant it is not necessary to laminate a print to keep it durable and vibrant. In addition to exceptional and steadfast color, the pigments found in Epson Ultrachrome PRO Ink have been independently rated by the Wilhelm Imaging Research to test its archivability and it was determined that Epson Ultrachrome PRO Ink color prints have can last for 200 years and black-and-white prints can last up to an astounding 400 years.

Precision Core Micro TFP Printhead: Incredible Print Accuracy

The latest in Printhead technology, the PrecisionCore MicroTFP Printhead applies Ultrachrome PRO Ink to our paper and canvas prints with incredible accuracy. With 800 nozzles for every color and 10 color channels, totaling 8,000 nozzles, the application of each dot of ink is placed with unmatched exactness. The PrecisionCore MicroTFP Printhead is capable of printing 2,400x12,000 dots per inch, creating a print so precise the human eye would be incapable of detecting any individual dots themselves.

Why Choose Glossy Photographic Paper?

As the name implies, glossy paper has a high gloss level and is quite reflective. Photographers choose glossy paper to bring a vibrancy and brilliance to their printed images. This paper type should be handled with care because fingerprints show, and is not recommended for scrapbooking because the high gloss surface finish tends to stick to other paper and pages.
